3G i9 Phone Quick Review
I’ve been getting a lot of questions and emails about this phone. Most have to do with whether this phone works on a 3G network. The answer is no, at least for now. But, this is the newest version of the i9 and it is pretty cool. In addition to the being a bit thinner and sleeker, it comes in three colors (black, red, and white) and it has completely redone the welcome / start up menu and icons. There are 10 PAGES of icons available for this phone. Now there are icons (quick touch) for YouTube, Video viewing, MMS, Maps, Missed Calls, etc. Essentially, any feature that you can get on this phone, you can make an icon phone and you can change and move around the icons so that they fall exactly where you want them to.
This phone is every bit as fast and complete as they previous i9. It is quad band. It has Java and it is a shake and tilt model. It has the flow touch - flip through interface and you can still pinch and slide on the screen or photos to zoom in and out. Essentially, this is the i9 with more color options, a sleeker screen and housing, and a whole lot more flexibility and customization options.
And, it’s not even more expensive than the older i9. You can usually get one in the low $100s, especially if you take advantage of all of the sellers on Ebay (I’d stick with the power sellers though.) You can check out what is currently available on Ebay by clicking here. If you are not a member, you can sign up here for free. You may also want to scroll down to see photos, specs and video.
